Battle Queen 2020 (2001)
Sci-Fi/Action Rated R
Plot
Noted Penthouse Pet stars as the Battle Queen of post Apocalyptic Earth where civilization is struggling to survive after an asteroid has destroyed life as we know it. The only thing that remains constant is the control that the powerful exert over the not so powerful. One person rises to the challenge of restoring equality and freedom to the people of Earth, and that is the BATTLE QUEEN 2020.
Acting
Stars Julie Strain and Jeff Wincott. Wincott is average as usual, and Strain actually gives a decent level headed performance, probably the best acting job shes done, and the movie pretty much focuses completely on her character.
Action/Gore
No gore, but there are several martial arts style battle sequences.
Sex/Nudity
Per usual, there is lots of random nudity and some sex scenes from Julie and friends.
Final Thoughts
While at heart this is still just another T & A flick, with Julie Strain thrown in the lead role, but It has a surprisingly competent story, that doesn't really meander into a bunch of side stories that exist soley for some extra T & A, not thats theres not a ridiculous amount of gratuitous nudity, as there is, but the manage to find a way to fit it into the main story. It's not a good movie in the traditional way, but its a good brainless bad movie, with an easy to follow, story that is interesting enough to hold it's viewers attention throughout. One of Julie's more enjoyable movies.
