Dr. Cranston is a successful plastic surgeon in Los Angeles until his daughter is horribly disfigured in a car accident that he caused. To ease his remorse, he tirelessly labors to replace the mangled features of his sweet Maggie. Wanting his daughter to be perfect, Dr. Cranston seeks women with the "perfect nose," "perfect eyes" or "perfect breasts" for his daughter. Seeking stardom, Melissa runs away from home once again to audition with her "perfect lips". Big sister, Brenda rushes to Hollywood in search of Melissa and enlists the help of a local cab driver and wannabe actor, Bobby. But the pair discover that this time Melissa is in much more trouble than they realized.

The 3 main "good guys" all do pretty well at playing there parts pretty straight, and the 2 lead "bad guys" are both over-the-top, however Michelle Angel was very effective with it.

There are several severed body parts, however most of the gore happens off screen.

"Bit Parts" is a definite tribute to classic giallo cinema (which has never really been my thing) and even has a detective character named Tony Giallo. So much like those films, it is a story based around an amateur detective and her cabby sidekick trying to located her sister. The story is more unique than a lot of comparable films, and better acted than some. The problem is that there is no mystery involved to the viewer, as we are shown every move made my the captor, and the story is solved in a pretty unexciting way which in the end held it back from being a much better movie.
