Children of the Corn (1984)

Plot
A young couple find themselves stranded in the rural town of Gatlin, Nebraska, and fall into the sinister hands of a mysterious religious sect of children. Having murdered all of the town's adults at the command of their leader, the children perform bloody sacrifices to their cornfield-dwelling deity (known only as "He Who Walks Behind the Rows"). Their two new visitors are next in line for crucifixion!
Acting
Linda Hamilton is average as always but Courntey Gains and John Franklin are good as Maclahai and Isaac, and the rest of the cast is passable.
Gore
Some post-killing blood is seen, but \all actual kills are off-screen.

Final Thoughts
I'm not a big fan of alot of Stephen King's movie as there usually very slow paced and story based, and that exactly what this is. The story is one which is not very unique and many simliar storyline have been seen before and after this movie came out, and like this, most are aveage movies at best. While not a completely boring movie this is not one for the impatient as it ceratinly drags at points. I don't quite get why this is one of his most well known adaptation, nor why it got so many sequels, and 2 remakes.
