Cold Storage (2006)
Horror/Thriller Rated R
Plot
After a loner named Clive Merser witnesses an atrocious car accident near his desolate backcountry home in Tennessee, he becomes convinced that the dead driver, Melissa, is the girl of his dreams -- and does just about anything to keep her around. Meanwhile, Melissa's sister, Cathy , and boyfriend, Daric , frantically try to find her.
Acting
Nick Searcy was very good and convincing as the backwoods yocal. The 2 main members of the supporting cast (Joelle Carter and Matt Keeslar) where also pretty good, the minor players however where very average.
Gore
A head is removed during a pre-credits sequence, and thats pretty much the end of the gore.
Sex/Nudity
None
Final Thoughts
A reviewer on this movies IMDB page claims this is "something different" apparently that reviewer has only seen a handful of movies, as i found it very much cliched and predictable. At it's core, its a generic backwood freak movie, though it does go for a more story based approach then most of them, as it is completely dialogue based and depends nearly exclusively on one character. The acting is good and the dialogue is ok, however there was just way to much, and it desperately needed some action to break up the monotonous pace of the story. Could have certainly been a very good movie with its strong lead character and actor, but it just failed to excite and often dragged.
