Erin Russ -- May 2010

This months interview subject is actress Erin Russ, who most recently starred in the Slasher Comedy "Porkchop"

Thank You for participating in our interview!

Thank You

Firstly why don’t you tell us about yourself!

I'm creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky.

How and why did you get into the business?

My boyfriend, William Hellfire, got me into the business. He introduced me to his friends and they put me in their movies.

What are your aspirations?

I aspire to not work. Unfortunately, not working equals not eating.

Who are your idols, and/or influences?

Death is my influence.

Tell us about your movie, What Should we expect from it?Any comparisons to similar movies? Whats your role?

PORKCHOP is about a group of friends and a robot who go for a goddamn outing, people! You can expect to scream and cream...your pants. I play Rachel, the girl who is going to make you do both.

What where the best, worst, and hardest parts of making this movie?

The best part was being killed by a giant pig man. The worst part was not having sex with Richie because he got his junk caught in his zipper after he rubbed one out. The hardest part was Elron's member in my you know what.

Did you enjoy making it?

What, with Elron? Hell yeah, I enjoyed it! Don't tell him I said that, though.

Any unique/interesting storys about making the movie?

You ever hear of carpet burn? Well I got woods burn.

“Porkchop” is basically a spoof of 80’s slasher movies, can you tell us some films from that specific genre you loved and hated?

I LOVE the Friday the 13th films. I watch them on every Friday the 13th. It's been a tradition of mine since I was a kid. HA! It sounds like I just called myself a goat.

Can you tell us what separates your film from the multitude of other camp horror comedys?

I'm pretty sure this is the first camp horror comedy that features a girl being killed in a Miley Cyrus skirt.

Any specific type of movies or people you would like to be a part of in the future?

Didn't you hear? I retired.

Any upcoming or past projects you think may interest of readers?

Certainly! I currently have a two page photo spread in the Spring issue of GIRLS AND CORPSES magazine, which is available for purchase at GIRLSANDCORPSES.COM. I star in a faux horror movie trailer called DEVIL SISTER, which was directed by the uber talented Paige K. Davis. It's one of many grindhouse trailers featured on a 3-disc collection called SHOCK FESTIVAL. You can purchase it at alternativecinema.com.
I also star in another horror movie trailer called THE DEVIL'S HOSTAGE. You can view that on YouTube. I had a bit part as a party monster in LATE FEE. My upcoming projects are DOGSHIT, written and directed by ScreamerClauz, and Blood Wings: A Satanic Fantasy, written and directed by Victor Bonacore.

What are some of your favorite Favorite Horror, Sci-Fi or Action movies (your own excluded)?

MAY is not only my favorite horror movie, it's my favorite film of all time. I often forget that MAY is a horror movie, though. I guess it's because I find May to be very endearing and charming.

This concludes our interview with Erin, please check out my review of her movie "Porkchop" as well as my interview with it's Director Eamon Hardiman. I hope you enjoyed the interview.
