Frog-g-g (2004)

Sci-Fi/Comedy/Horror     Not Rated

Plot

Chemical waste seeps into a small town's water supply, causing the birth of a mutant FROGGG which is instinctively driven to mate with its genetic match - human women. Sexy EPA super-agent Dr Barbara Michaels tracks the Froggg's every move, fighting off corrupt good-ol'-boy politicians and drunken rednecks at every turn. No one in town believes her, or the evidence, until the shocking climax when the Froggg is finally brought to justice... or IS it...?

Acting

Shockingly the cast is actually quite competent as most of the cast, are seasoned veteran actors, and Kristi Russell was very charismatic and enjoyable in the lead. The cast also features Mary Woronov, and James Duval in small roles.

None

Sex/Nudity

A few topless women after some lesbian sex, a women shows breast and butt during a shower scene, and later flasher the frogman to get his attention. There is also a sex scene that shows breast and man butt, and eventually frog butt.

Final Thoughts

A had put off watching this movie for quite a while, as I was expecting a super trashy, silly spoof, but was pleasantly surprised to see that while still a satire of those great 50's and 60's sci-fi movies (Swamp Thing in particular) it was actually a serious movie, and only went for comedy at certain points, and while it does open with a lesbian sex scene, the lesbian relationship of the main character is not really expectational, and is actaully a fairly well developed and serious relationship and not just a ploy to sell movies. It does have some decently comedic moments, largely centered around those scenes involving the very corny looking, very much 1950's style, man in a cheap suite creature. Overall i would say this was a very enjoyable experience, and would definitely recommend it to those who loved those films satired here.
