During the Reagan years, the films get gorier, budgets get smaller, and their appeal wanes. Then, "Nightmare on Elm Street" revives the genre. Jump to the late 90s, when "Scream" brings humor and TV stars into the mix. Final Thoughts

A strong documentary, that has a good cast of people who give genuine and interesting thoughts and story's about these classic movies. Also contains some of the best kill scenes ever seen on screen, and talks about much of the critical outrage and parental protests about many of them, and offers very well thought out, explanations to why these claims are untrue. one warning however, if you have not seen some of these movies you may want to watch them prior to seeing these, as its does contain spoilers.
