Hanger (2009)
Horror Not Rated
Plot
HANGER is a horrifying tale of revenge that begins with a back-alley abortion, and ends with a bloodbath so vicious that it brings a new meaning to 'an eye for eye.' From pimps to dealers and hookers to junkies, HANGER dives headfirst into the depths of human depravity.
Acting
Features Debbie Rochon in a pre-credit, back story sequence, and Dan Ellis as the title character in the rest of the movie, which is does do a better job with than anyone should expect. Also features a cameo from Lloyd Kaufman, which i have to admit is probably the best of his ridiculous amount of crappy cameos'
Gore
Included the most graphic and detailed back alley abortion scenes, ever
Sex/Nudity
Contains the aforementioned abortion scenes, and multiple instances of explicit female nudity (from the girl in the ridiculously l and masturbation. Also some very kinky scenes i wont even try to explain.
Final Thoughts
Ryan Nicholson is quickly developing a reputation as a modern day master of extreme exploitation and he certainly furthers that rep here. He goes all out to try to shock and offend, and for someone not so hardened to that type of stuff, succeeds very well. However as a veteran viewer of the extreme that type of stuff doesn't have a whole lot of effect. There are however some very enjoyable gores scenes, and a decent story, that does get old after a while. Worth watching for the gore scenes, but little else.
