Scientific experiments backfire and produce horrific mutations: halfman, halffish which terrorize a small fishing village by killing the men and raping the women.

Probably the best all around acting I've seen in a Corman production, everyone with the exception of one of the doctors/morticians that is only in briefly, are actually good actors.

Large chunks are ripped out of heads, faces, backs, and abdomens. Some humanoids are stabbed and/or shot. Also the infamous end scene is fabulous and gory.

One women bares her butt and breasts before being raped by a humanoid, another women is fully topless while seducing her boyfriend, running from a humanoids, and being rape by a humanoid, and a woman's top "falls off" while she tries to escape a humanoid.

This movie has all the great things synonymous with Corman productions, cheap but effective effects, completely unrealistic explosions, etc... and almost none of the negatives. It's almost certainly the best Corman produced movie, with only "Little Shop of Horrors" even giving it competition. A truly classic b-movie and one of the best you'll ever find, an absolute must see. The end sequence is also one of the best of all time, and is worth seeing this movie for that alone.
