When Robert Coltrane suddenly dies, his wife and two kids can no longer afford their affluent lifestyle. So when Robert's loner brother Darryl offers lodging to the downsized family, they reluctantly accept -- a fatal mistake. Their transition is shaken up by the arrival of a troubled foster child , who sets into motion a string of horrifying events.

Much better than typical horror stuff. William Mopother does creepy very well, and Sofia Vassilieva , who was highly praised for her work in "My Sister's Keeper" is very good as the mysterious girl. Melora Walters and the rest of the cast are quite good as well.

This is a very atmospheric and story based horror flick and has no gore other than a few people spitting up blood, and 1 guy hanging.

Im generally more a fan of action based horror than the story based stuff, but i liked this one more than most of the slower moving horror movies, still would have preferred more action. I would say this is in the middle of the road of the psycho kid movie, which seems to be getting popular as of late, and not a bad watch.
