With tongue planted firmly in cheek, our story follows the exploits of a bumbling investigative journalist as he struggles to discover the truth behind enigmatic horror author H.P. Lovecraft and his mysterious past. Along the way strange and macabre tales play out, pulling the reporter ever deeper into the writer's mystical world. Will the journalist finally prevail or will he end up without a clue as usual? One thing's for sure: the truth is out there... he's just not entirely sure where.

All depends on which story it is, some are real good, and some are very terrible and Troma-esque.

Lots of blood which is usual there for "comedic" purposes.

There is one sex scene during the Re-Animator sequence, which i believe involves a porn star, that is as explicit you can get without "technically" being explicit. The nudity in the scene is explicit though.

This is basically a Troma version of "Creepshow" with all the story's being from HP Lovecraft writings. Some of the story are more interesting than others, and some are actually pretty good, however with the exception of the Re-Animator sequence which is one of the worst, they are all far to short, which makes them very underdevelopment. The movie started out awful, then got better during the middle with some of the more serious story's, then got crappy again toward the end. They tried to cram to many story's into this, had they stuck with 4-5 i think it would have been a much better movie. Also the "comedy" segments in between the story's with the journalist/host where dreadful and hard to sit through, especially when Lloyd Kaufman shows up. If your a Troma fan you may like this movie, if your not, then star far away.
