Had this been a big budget movie, i would say the acted needed to be better than it was, but considering it was a low budget affair, the acting was solid, and good enough, with a solid cast of unknown and inexperienced actors.

Despite the DVD's claim that it contains "Extreme Violence" it was not overly gory, but not exactly lite on the blood either. Basically while not a selling point for the film, it does have just enough fore to satisfy most viewers.

Not exactly a unique offering, but also not a cookie cutter haunted asylum movie, as in fact there are no ghosts, as it about asylum inmates who literally are running the asylum. A solid low budget offering that had a competent storyline with minimal plot holes and awkward sequences. However there was not enough originality or campiness to make it a true b-movie Well worth watching but not  something you have gotta rush out and see, as you have seen most of it's elements at some point before.
