In the wake of a solar flare of unusual properties, a mismatched group of inner-city survivors must put aside their animosity to escape a Los Angeles now free of gang-bangers, but infested instead with blood-sucking zombies.

Stars C. Thomas Howell, who surprisingly appear to be putting forth full effort, and give an effective performance as the lead hero.

A girl has her arm ripped of by a zombie, and lots bloody zombie killing, mostly gun shots to the head.

One girls get her arm and shirt ripped off as she flees some zombies. There are also 2 simultaneous skinless sex scenes.

This movie is very poorly titles, as the title leads you to assume its gonna be another stupid, over-the-top indy horror-comedy, and that not at all what it is. It's a mostly serious and fun zombie story that is completely competent and well acted and written. The title also mislead as there are in fact no vampires, the creatures are clearly zombies. This movie was surprisingly enjoyable and I was shocked to see C. Thomas Howell in it, as i had no idea he would be there, and it was a pleasant surprise, as it's one of his better recent roles. Worth watching, especially if you go into it with your expectation as low as mine where. Don't let the title fool you, this is not a comedy, it a fun low budget movie that is very well made.
