Final Thoughts

It had a very good premise, and very well acted, but it dragged a bit at times, like many movies of the era do, because it relies so heavy on dialogue and atmosphere scenes. Still make for a good movie, well written and entertaining characters, especially the one played by Glenda Farrell. Overall a very typical movie from the time, with good story telling, good acting, and impressive special effects, but light on action, to break things up. Was remade in 1953 as the superior "House of Wax" starring Vincent Price, and again remade as "House of Wax" in 2005, which was also superior to its predecessor.
