Ninja's Creed (2009)

Action/Thriller     Rated PG-13

Plot

When a female assassin is sent to the US to kill the last living heir to the modern day Himalayan Kingdom, royal solider is also sent to protect her. When he is face to face with the assassin his duty to the Kingdom becomes compromised. As they battle, secrets are uncovered and the line between good and evil is erased. Only one mission can be completed and only one person can survive.

Acting

Although it features two academy award nominees, Eric Roberts, and Pat Morita (IN his final film, which wasn't released until 4 years after his death) in small supporting roles, the film is carried by former Lizzy McGuire star Lalaine, and it's two leads WWE Diva Gail Kim (filmed during her time away from WWE, and thus not a WWE studios production) and especially Alexander Wraith who shines in the hero role. Also features a brief appearance by fellow pro wrestler James Yun, AKA Jimmy Wang Yang, AKA Akio.

Action/Gore

Lots of gunfights and some well choreographed fight scenes primarily involving Gail Kim.

Sex/Nudity

None

Final Thoughts

A solid martial arts crime thriller that has a bit more story and a slower pace than one would expect. Nothing overwhelming but a breeze to sit through. The acting and special effect are both stellar, and not at all over the top like so many action movies tend to do. Worth a look, especially for fans of the ever underused Gail Kim.
