In "Parasomnia," Laura Baxter is a young woman, literally a "sleeping beauty," who suffers from a medical condition called "parasomnia." A childhood accident victim, she is actually sleeping her life away, awakening briefly on rare occasions. Art student Danny Sloan falls in love with her, unaware that her hospital neighbor, a terrifying mass murderer and mesmerist named Byron Volpe has other, more sinister plans. Sloan helps Laura escape from her hospital prison only to discover that Volpe is about to enter her dreams.

Pretty well done all the way around featuring a very strong performance from Cherilyn Wilson as the main character, and Jeffrey Combs, stealing the show as usual,  and a very nice bit part by John Landis.

Stabbing

Several topless dead bodies, and star Wilson is seen topless multiple times while comatose.

It gets of to a very slow start, but once the story gets rolling Parasomnia it is pretty intriguing and tells a great story that hasn't really been done to many times in the past. If your looking for something with lots of thrills and action, this certainly is not that, but if you patient enough to wait a bit, its well worth your time.
