A Perfect Getaway (2009)
Horror/Thriller Not Rated/Rated R
Plot
For their honeymoon, newlyweds Cliff and Cydney head to the tropical islands of Hawaii. While journeying through the paradisaical countryside the couple encounters Kale and Cleo, two disgruntled hitchhikers and Nick and Gina, two wild but well-meaning spirits who help guide them through the lush jungles. The picturesque waterfalls and scenic mountainsides quickly give way to terror when Cliff and Cydney learn of a grisly murder that occurred nearby and realize that they're being followed by chance acquaintances that suspiciously fit the description of the killers.
Acting
Good all around, with Timothy Olyphant and Steve Zahn being stand outs as usual. Milla Jovovich actual play something other than the bad ass chick role she usual does, and is pretty good in the role.
Gore
Some gunshots to the head, and some stabbings with a hunting knife.
Sex/Nudity
Some butt of both genders, and a lot of scenes of topless women facing a different direction.
Final Thoughts
A very good thriller with lots of good twists, and a few red herrings (Though those can be easily picked out). One minor problem was that after the main twist is revealed then a lot of the previous scenes don't make any sense. This is definitely a horror/thriller worth seeing, with good and likable characters and actors, although it does have some of the typical cliches, such as cell phones not working when you need them.
