Doctor Baines has been conducting genetic experiments on piranhas and has made them virtually unstoppable. Unfortunately, his assistants, Maggie and Paul, accidentally release the hybrids into the Lost River Lake threatening to destroy everyone in their path. Can they prevent the flesh-eating piranhas from escaping into the ocean and spawning?

Stars Alexandra Paul and William Katt who are acceptable in the lead roles. Also feature Soleil Moon Frye (Punky Brewster) and an early appearance from an 11 year old Mila Kunis in supporting roles.

Starts off with a full nude skinny dipping scenes featuring some soft porn actress with large inflated fake breasts. Also features another topless skinny dipping scene.

I'm not one who hates remakes, in fact i often prefer the remakes to the original, however int his instance, I certainly recommend sticking with the original. The story is nearly the exact same thing, and  there are multiple scenes that are completely identical. However despite a bigger budget, and more well known stars, this was just not as enjoyable. Still worth watching as its a decent enough creature movie, and I enjoyed watching a very early appearance from Mila Kunis.
