When a band of sexy space pirates hijack a fuel-transport vessel bound for Earth, an alien virus known only as "Thanatos" is accidentally released. The contagion mutates its victims, transforming them one after another into ravenous, demonic creatures. Pirates and crew must join together to destroy the undead PLAGUERS as the ship nears Earth, threatening to infect the entire planet.

Better than expected all the way around, and it features Steve Railsback in a supporting role.

I have always felt that Brad Sykes was one of the best no-budget film makers, and in this movie, he is given a noticeably bigger, while still low budget , and somehow managed to get Steve Railsback in the cast.  The budget is bigger, and the movie is a little better than usual, it had solid gore, better acting than usual, and a solid story and script. The make-up effects are very good, and the CGI effects are quite cheesy. An enjoyable low budget space zombie movie, see it.
