A top secret laboratory is developing supervaccines derived from the venom of gigantic scorpions when the military seizes the operation and accidentally releases the monstrous arachnids to wreak havoc on the planet. Now, only the elite organization known as the Delta Force has the power to annihilate the mutant creatures before it's too late
Acting
As typical with a Roger Corman produced movie your gonna get you share of good and bad, but Jeff Fahey is dependable as always.
Gore
There is a decent amount of gore, and few people get eated/ripped up by the scorpion like creatures.
Sex/Nudity
None
Final Thoughts
The cover states that this movie is "In The Tradition of "Starship Troopers"" and while they both do center around the military fighting giant bugs, but that is where the similaritys stop, this movie does not have any of the enjoyable over the top cheesiness, or the good action/gore scenes that "Starship Troopers" had. While not in the league of Starship Troopers, it is not a terrible giant bug movie, and the special effects are much better than you typically get from Roger Corman (He may have actually piad someone for them). There is however a lack of action, as there are not a whole lot of times where the bugs actaully appear (kind of a Corman signature there.). Also there is a scene toward the end of the movie, where we learn that these genetically altered bugs apparently understand the English language.
