Visiting a rural town to find a father she's never met, Summer falls into a trap set by deranged serial killer Tom. Buried in an inescapable mound of dirt, Summer frantically tries to win her captor's confidence and stay alive any way she can.

Cast includes Ashely Greene(Twighlight), Stephen McHattie, Barbara Niven, and Peter Mooney. Solid acting overall. Ashley Greene is not very good, but Stephen McHattie is very good as the lead villain, and the supporting cast all hold there own.

Surpisingly very little gore for it being a backwoods psychopath movie.

There is one very brief sex scene involving Ashley Greene, but nothing is shown. Lots of cleavage from supporting cast.

Summer's Moon is a primarily story based backwoods horror movie, and although Ashley Greene is only average in her role, Stephen McHattie, and also Barabar Niven to a lesser degree are very good and stop the movie from becoming a bore, and are the best reason to see this movie, it does also offer a few plot twist, but nothing that will blow you away. The addition of some action/gore scenes would have helped some, but i think this movie was about as good as it was gonna get.
