Features a very talented cast lead by hollywood icon Joan Crawford, who, in her final film roles, gives a very effective performance as the good scientist. Also features Michael Gough in a good villainous performance, as well as Bernard Kay and David Warbeck in supporting roles.

A mild impalement, and a guy hung on a meathook.

Final Thoughts

"Trog" is most remembered as being Joan Crawford final big screen movie, and also for being one of her worst. Trog himself is a bad creature who is just a man in a cheap masked and fuzzy boots, without even any body make up or anything. "Trog" the movie is very slow and centers around story and character, both of which are generic, but the characters are aided by a very good "Z" grade cast. There are a lot of short cuts, and money saving techniques used in the making of this movie, and normally i'm fine with that, but it bothered me a bit here, as it just came across as being laziness, and not a lack of talent possible funds, it appears everyone involved was just trying to make a quick buck, and not a good movie. One great example, other than the cheap ass creature, is the climax of this movie which last all of 5 minutes and is far too rushed, and uneventful.  The tired, but potentially interesting premise here is used to show American's not to fear the unknown, as where many earlier creature movies (King Kong), and that point is proved fairly well, but the movie doesn't provide more than average entertainment.
